About Roe Moore

I got bit by the entertainment industry bug while I was transitioning from call center work. I had been laid off due to the company relocating and I decided to give acting a try. It worked out pretty well––I earned a few roles in the local Denver theatre and indie film scene. After I would wrap for the day as an actor, I often stayed behind and asked the crew about their positions, the equipment and all the behind-the-scenes stuff, as it fascinated me.

When the push for actors to create their own work became a thing, I began wearing my producer hat. That endeavor grew pretty steadily as I really enjoyed the process and having a hand in creating my own success, rather than waiting for others to bring it to me. I've gone on to produce many award-winning shorts, web series, and most recently I completed my first season of a television series for a game show called Buzz'd Out!

In pursuing acting, I also came across an ad for script supervising classes. It'd been something that I had casually done, but I went full-fledged into it as yet another way to get myself in the industry door. It turns out I was pretty good at it––I got called to do over 50 American Film Institute cycle and thesis films as well as a lot of indie films within my first four months. Today, as a proud union member, I primarily work in commercials and television. I also now teach script supervision because I've had many directors, producers, and production managers say, "We need more people that are as good as you." Teaching is my way of fulfilling those requests.
Because of the script supervising work, I met a director on a teen multi-cam show who told me, "You know a lot more than you let on. I'm having you on every job I can." He hired me as his Associate Director for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Awards. I kept asking him time and time again what that meant, and all he said was, "You'll catch on." He mentored me on the job and now I still work with him on that show as well as Masters of Illusion, The Big Stage, and the upcoming Carolers Competition.

He's also now mentoring me to direct. With his help, the little bug in me that's been like, "Go! Direct! You can do it!" has a place. Most recently, I’ve found myself directing a lot of theater. I haven't figured out why my directing career is exploding in theater with all my film and television background, but hey, I'll take it!

I very much enjoy having my diverse skill set of directing, script supervising and producing. I also have many other talents I've found along the way (editing, writing, and so forth). I anticipate continuing and eventually becoming a showrunner as that I believe fulfills my entire journey. But in the meantime, I'll keep on marching where these roads are taking me.
When I'm off set (or stage), I can be found loosely training for American Ninja Warrior––meaning I just like to stay fit and do CrossFit type of things. I love yoga (particularly Bikram Yoga) and have been known as a sumo wrestler. My latest athletic adventure includes running in the New York Half Marathon. I wouldn't quite call myself a video game enthusiast, but I do appreciate the Final Fantasy series, Mario Party, and Halo. My favorite thing in the world is spending time with dachshunds and I'm excited to get a home so I can rescue all of them!

Oh! And if anyone has hookups to work with Vin Diesel, he's on my bucket list of famous people to work with before they die!
